Interact with the three leading women during a special session at this year’s Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, as they talk about prizes in the field, what success means to them and the process of translation.
Celebrated author Hoda Barakat, who won the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature and also has an International Prize for Arab Fiction to her name, will be taking the stage. She will be joined by recognised novelist Jokha Alharthi and well-known Arabic translator Marilyn Booth, who won the 2019 International Booker Prize for Celestial Bodies.
