The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has issued fresh quarantine guidelines for government employees who are Covid-positive, or those who have been in close contact with infected patients.
According to the latest circular issued to ministries and federal entities, the FAHR said those infected and those in close contact should adhere to quarantine and treatment guidelines.
As per the guidelines, for employees who are not vaccinated, the quarantine period will be deducted from their annual leave or it will be considered as unpaid if they don’t have any left. They can work from home during this period.
The employees who have already received two doses of the vaccine, if they come in close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient, should undergo the quarantine period specified by the health authorities, and they can work from home during this period.
The FAHR also reminded the authorities that employees who have not been vaccinated, should do a PCR test every seven days.
