24 July 2019

The International Astronomical Society has announced that Eid Al-Adha is likely to fall on 11th August, Sunday, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has also announced four-day Eid Al Adha holidays for private and public sector in the UAE.

Both private and public sector workers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi can enjoy a four day holiday for Eid Al Adha. The employees will be entitled to a holiday between 10th August and 13th August this year.

The first day of the holiday falls on a Saturday, and many people get to enjoy three days off work (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), making it a five-day weekend. People will finally return to work on Wednesday, the 14th August.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources confirmed early this year that employees in both public and private sector will be granted the same number of holidays this year.
