Count down to Dubai Expo 2020 : 365 days to go

Dubai received permission on Nov 2013 for hosting the world's largest international exhibition,  Expo in 2020. A massive celebration took place in Dubai on 20th October 2019 to celebrate the one-year countdown for the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020. The night sky was lit with amazing fireworks after the live countdown timer stopped marking the onset of this greatest event. Huge crowds gathered at Burj park near the Burj Khalifa to enjoy this spectacular fireworks show and celebrity performances. It was like the entire UAE with all its seven emirates taking part unanimously in one of the largest carnivals of the millennia celebrating 'One Year to Go' for Dubai Expo 2020.

After the fireworks show was over, famous American singer Mariah Carey took over the stage and started entertaining the massive crowd with her lovely vocals. With an excited voice, she mentioned after singing her first song: "I'm so happy to be here and excited to be part of the one-year countdown of the Dubai Expo. I hope all of you will be there next year,"

She was overwhelmed after watching the beautiful Dubai water Fountains located at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and mentioned: "Look at the water. This is so exciting!"

The evening stage performances continued further when popular Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi hit the stage. He received huge applaud from the enthusiastic crowd that gathered around to watch these live performances. Hussain gave a rocking twenty-minutes performance which led his fans to sing and dance on the music beats. He also mentioned onstage: “Happy birthday, little girl. Everything is possible” addressing a fan in the crowd.

People living in all the seven Emirates, from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah celebrated unanimously on 20th evening. They were able to watch live streaming of the spectacular Burj Khalifa show. Giant screens were installed in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah at important locations of public gathering. From 5 Pm onwards stilt walkers, tanoura dancers and enthusiastic crowds were seen in all important venues across emirates. The list includes places like Louvre, Al Majaz Waterfront, Ajman Museum and Corniche area of Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.

Over hundreds of residents celebrated in another event that took place at the Louvre in the emirate's capital city, Abu Dhabi. Famous musician, Leila Qadar joined the show to entertain the visitors. It was a big party event where everyone was celebrating and dancing on the musical beats standing in front of the stage. Emirati's are known for their exceptional hospitality and the show host reminded everyone about the same who took part in the event. The host mentioned: "warm Emirati hospitality at its finest." Visitors were able to taste multiple varieties of food and got a unique chance to meet the event mascots. Dubai Expo 2020 has a global appeal and more than a hundred artists across twenty-six nationalities highlighted that with their artistic performances.

Dubai Expo 2020 is about to start from 20th October 2020 until 10th April 2021. This is the time when the entire world eyes on the UAE. More than 192 countries are participating in this upcoming event. There will be a bucket list of exciting activities like live cultural shows and much more held every day during that period. The main site to host the Expo exhibitions is a 1083 acres huge area located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Dubai Expo 2020 is all set to give everyone a unique cultural experience.
