New Traffic Law 2017

06 July 2017

The UAE’s amended traffic law got effective on 1st July 2017. The new traffic law is believed to reduce the number of casualties on the roads. Although the law seems harsher with tough punishments for dangerous offences, it is aimed at making roads safer.

Other changes that are likely to improve road safety are higher fines for higher speeds, confiscation of vehicles for various offences, black points, etc.
