Un Air De Famille

Culture Emulsion presents another stunning French theatrical production, Un Air de Famille on 18 & 19 October 2017 at DUCTAC.

This French comedy play, written by Jaoui et Bacri, is about a Story of an upper middle-class French family - domineering matriarch Madame Menard, unambitious son Henri, rebellious daughter Betty and his financially successful yet perpetually nervous brother, Philippe and Yolande, Philippe`s timid wife.

One evening when they all gather at a restaurant to celebrate Yolande`s birthday. The mother, her daughter Betty, and her two sons Henri and Philippe have some old scores to settle, and the issues come out during the dinner. As if things weren't complicated enough, Denis the waiter also gets involved. Family history, tensions, delights,collective and separate grudges and memories clash, making the evening an unforgettable one.

Culture Emulsion is a part of the DUCTAC family since 2014 and is essentially known by the francophone community for the shows they produce or travel to the UAE, and for their successful drama classes. They have been working in the region bringing French cultural shows to both DUCTAC and local schools.
