British Pop superstar Zayn Malik is performing live in Dubai at the Autism Rocks Arena this October 7 that comes less than 18 months after his former bandmates played to 30,000 adoring fans at The Sevens Stadium – which was one of 1D’s first appearances as a quartet, just days after Malik announced he had quit the world’s biggest boyband.
Zayn made history as the first male UK solo artist to debut at #1 with his debut single Pillowtalk, released in January, topped the charts in more than a dozen countries, while the subsequent album, Mind of Mine, debuted at number one in the United Kingdom and USA in March. Zayn was raised Muslim and grew up in the UK, with his father British-Pakistani. He was widely considered the strongest singer in One Direction when he was part of the mega boy band due to his incredibly wide vocal range.
His electronic, R&B slow jam hybrids have been widely popular with Pillowtalk giving him the highest first time streams of any first-time solo artist.
