The bespectacled Scottish sibling duo The Proclaimers, arrive on the first plane from Auchtermuchty in Fife ready to belt out ‘500 Miles’ for as far as the ear can hear at The Irish Village on Thursday 25 April 2019. But they also have a range of other hits which you've probably heard too, including Letter from America and Sunshine on Leith, which of course they croon out in their famously broad accents.

Scottish music duo The Proclaimers is a folk rock-meets-indie pop act starring twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid. They’re best known for their catchy Celtic rock track 'I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)', which has become a staple for any long-haul road trip’s must-play song.

They have released 11 studio albums since 1987, with the latest being The Angry Cyclist in August 2018, as well as three compilation albums and a DVD.

Following early success on the strength of their blend of pop and politics, the brothers Reid – Charlie and Craig– have reached the technical status that few have been able to achieve: with nearly three decades of career longevity, they are as innovative as ever.

With every album and show played, they’ve garnered new fans, all the while consistently replenishing one of the most precious resources in music – thoughtful pop albums.
